Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2025
The short version: Hytale Status collects minimal data. We use Google Analytics for usage statistics, but we have no user accounts and store no personal data on our servers.
1. Minimal Data Collection
Hytale Status is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information from visitors:
- No user accounts or registration
- No personal data stored on our servers
- No advertising or ad trackers
- Theme preference stored locally in your browser
2. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us improve the Service. Google Analytics may collect:
- Pages visited and time spent on site
- Approximate location (country/city level)
- Device type and browser information
- Referral source (how you found us)
This data is aggregated and anonymous. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out.
3. Local Storage
Your theme preference (light/dark mode) is saved in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
4. Server Checker Tool
When you use our server status checker, the server address you enter is used only to query the server's status. We do not log or store the server addresses you check.
5. API Requests
API requests may be subject to standard server logging (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security and rate-limiting purposes. These logs are not used for tracking and are periodically purged.
6. Third-Party Services
Our Service queries external APIs (such as the PixelPunchers API) to retrieve server status information. We do not control the privacy practices of these third-party services.
7. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The Service is safe for users of all ages.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we change our data practices, we will update this policy accordingly.
